I did it!!!
I'm delighted to tell you that I achieved the greatest challenge of my life - running the London Marathon in 4 hours and 51 minutes.
I couldn't hide my glee when I was on the train heading back to Kent, and my friend and colleague Gemma Sterba (who's 26 years my junior!) rang to tell me she'd just finished in 5 hours and 35 minutes.
In all seriousness, we're chuffed to bits. It was really painful towards the end, but we were spurred on by your generosity and support.
Running has completely changed my life - 15 months ago I could never have dreamed of doing this. More importantly I know this money we've raised will enhance the lives of children and their families, thanks to the amazing work of Demelza House Hospice, near Sittingbourne.
