Mountain Rescue

Not many people realise that mountain rescue is entirely supported by charitable donations – much like the RNLI. It might not be the first charity on everybody’s list, but hiking is my primary past-time, and on occasion I’ve come pretty close to needing their help (don’t tell Janie!) They provide a sterling service on a purely voluntary basis, which is very much under appreciated by the general public - at least until they are needed! Many of the teams throughout the struggle to survive and as such all donations are very gratefully received
