Story
In the summer of 2007, a team of six brave adventurers (and one trusty roadie) will be taking on what may possibly be the most ridiculously hardcore challenge of their lives.
On 14 – 15 July, Martin, Dan (AKA Wilf), Scott, Nigel, Elliot and Holly will be donning our walking boots, stocking up on the Kendal mint cake, and frankly, bricking it, when we attempt to tackle 24 peaks in 24 hours.
Over the next few months, we’ll be training, mentally preparing ourselves, and working on the whopping £5,000 sponsorship we need to do this. That’s where YOU come in.
The National Deaf Children’s Society is the only UK charity solely dedicated to providing support, information and advice for deaf children and young people, their families and professionals working with them. NDCS campaigns for improvements in services aimed at families with deaf children, working with central and local government, health authorities, education professionals, social services, manufacturers and other voluntary organisations.
This is a great cause, and the money we raise will really help NDCS with their important work.
Please sponsor us – whatever you can afford, because it’s true – every little helps, and frankly we need your sponsorship to spur us on through what’s likely to be a gruelling and painful 24 hours.
Are we scared by what we’ve taken on? A bit. With your help and support, can we do this? Damn right we can!
