Story
Hello all,
As most of you will know in November of this year I, along with three others from JWT will be taking part in Raleigh International's Kinabalu's Challenge to raise money for their Youth Development Programme.
We are competing in a gruelling 7 day adventure race that includes hiking, biking, rafting, camping in the jungle and the finale will be to climb Mount Kinabalu at 4,100 metres above sea level.
To take part in the challenge we need to raise £2,000 each for Raleigh International’s Youth Development Programme - a groundbreaking and hugely successful venture aimed at changing the lives of socially disadvantaged young people; for example those who have been excluded from school, are homeless, victims of abuse or neglect, or have a history of substance abuse. Raleigh provides a year long programme of progressive personal development, culminating in the opportunity to take part in an international expedition to a country such as Belize, Namibia, Chile, or Costa Rica. The programme helps people rediscover their own potential, develop trust, confidence, and the tools and will to re-engage with society.
In order to raise the necessary funds, we have planned a number of events from sponsored runs and bike rides to a themed party, speed dating, Ann Summers evening, band night and an auction of promises. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to find out more about these events, equally if you cannot make any of the dates but would like to donate, please use this page.
We are fully aware of the strains that everyone is under, which is why donations large or small would be very much appreciated.
Thank you as always for your continuing support.
Jo xxx
