On Sunday 5th October 2008 I will be taking part in the London 'Run to the Beat' half marathon. It's the first of its kind to play music the whole way round the route. Listening to music while running has been scientifically proven to enhance running performance. Plus we all love music dont we!

Last year in September I lost my cousin Stephanie Wilson at the age of 22 years. She lived with leukaemia for only 4 weeks before passing away. Running in this half marathon is a great way of giving back to the doctors and nurses who helped Stephanie, plus helping those who are living with Leukaemia now.

Running is not one of my favourite things to do, and I see this as a big challenge. Those who know me, know that I love to be challenged. It's a great way to keep fit and feel that I have acheived something whilst helping others.
