On the 29th of March I am taking part in a ski challenge to raise funds for childhood leukaemia research. It is a cause very close to my heart, my son Jamie suffering from the disease and currently undergoing chemotherapy. We have enjoyed fantastic treatment from the children's specialist cancer ward (Kamrans ward) at the John Radcliffe in Oxford but as ever they are in desperate need of funds both for research and for improving the facilities and service they provide.
I am attempting with a team of four others to ski every lift in Meribel in a day (53 lifts) which requires a descent of over 15,000 metres (equivalent of two mount Everests). I would be so grateful for your support, the money I raise is going directly to the children's ward and will help to improve our understanding and treatment of this dreadful disease.
