Channel Swim Completed
On Sunday September 9th we finally swam the channel and completed it in 13 hours and 35minutes, reaching France in darkness. It was a great experience and believe it or not more enjoyable in the water than on the boat!
Thank you to everyone that sponsored me.

*** Update - JULY 1st .....Just to let you know - the dreadful weather conditions have delayed us, and sadly we are still having to train. We are now waiting for a date in August or the first week of September.***
Between June 20th and July 1st 2007, depending on tidal conditions, I will be attempting to swim the English Channel in a relay team. Each member of the 6 man team swims for an hour at a time. We are not allowed to wear wet suits so it could be a bit nippy!! But I have been assured that there are no sharks in these waters, I'd hate to lose my other leg!!
Being a below knee amputee will be an even bigger challenge, but as I am better in the water than on land I hope it won't be a problem.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bedford Hospitals Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
