I'll be taking part in 'Run to the Beat' on Sunday 5th October on behalf of the charity, Lupus UK.

Lupus is an incurable immune system illness, probably genetic in origin which is mainly suffered by females.  With Lupus, the immune system produces far too many antibodies which, circulating through the bloodstream, cause reactions leading to inflammatory processes anywhere in the body. Some 50,000 people are now thought to have Lupus in the UK - which I think you'll agree makes it a very worthwhile fundraising cause.

As most of you will know, I'm definitely not a natural athlete, but I figured if Jade Goody could manage 17 miles of the London Marathon wearing ballet pumps and a Gucci handbag, I owed it myself to have a crack at this!
