Dreamflight gives children with serious illnesses or disabilities the holiday of a lifetime – from magical trips to Orlando to UK adventures that build confidence and independence. These experiences help children grow, feel celebrated, and discover their potential.

Story

Hi everyone,

Jailbreak is organised by the Durham University Charity Kommitee (aka DUCK) so loads of people from uni and our college are taking part.

The challenge is to get as far away as possible from Durham, within 36 hours WITHOUT spending any money. In other words we're going to hitchhike around Europe (or maybe the World?!) People have got as far as Turkey and South Korea - Fairly Impressive.

The charity we've chosen to raise money for is Dreamflight (Check through Google). They organise a once in a lifetime holiday to Florida for children with serious disabilities. We both felt touched by this charity's aims as it reminded us how fortunate we are to have an opportunity like this and how many people can only dream of traveling let alone hitchhiking around Europe (as we hope to do). We hope this isn't too cliche and you can support Jon and Anna's Big Adventure and Dreamflight.

You can support us in 2 ways. Either a single donation or per mile, country, continent (?), etc!

We promise to stay safe and keep in touch (So don't worry too much Mum and Dad!)

Lots of love

Jon and Anna xxx
