We did it and it was emotional.  Jon and Tom were joined by Si and together we completed the Bath Half Marathon 2009 ... with the 45 lbs of  rucksack on their backs in a time of 2 hours and 28 minutes!  That's the same 13.1 mile course that everyone else ran, but with boots on and carrying our bergans.  We have already been very well supported through this painful (for us) time for the charity Help for Heroes, which provides much needed support to personnel injured through serving on military operations.  But we could use more as we want to smash out target.

Help for Heroes is a charity that we have huge respect for.  We have served on operations in Afghanistan and, like most of our colleagues, know people who have been severely injured while serving their country in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
