Story

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you probably know by now I'm attempting to climb mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania this October. It's going to be a REAL challenge, 6 days of hard trekking at high altitude made even more difficult by jungle terrain, deserts, snow, glaciers, a disturbing lack of toilet facilities..... and the fact that it's so bloody big!! At 5882 meters tall it is the highest free standing mountain in the world.

Why am I doing this? Well I'm raising funds for a small charity called 'Headstart 4 Babies' which I've been personally involved with as they were a great help in providing advice and support about a condition (Plagiocephaly) that my son Reilly developed whilst he was a baby.

They do fantastic work raising awareness of plagiocephaly and it's associated conditions, providing help and advice to worried parents and where funds permit, assisting families on low incomes to proceed with treatment.

They are a very worthy cause so please give generously!!

I've chosen a target of £2000 as that is what it costs to pay for ONE baby to have genuinely life changing treatment that is (Quite disgustingly in my opinion) not available on the NHS. Hopefully I can raise more than that, but it's a good start and as as someone once said, 'Every little helps'.
