My story

New important update further down the page.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi my name is Jonathan Jolly. on september 16th 2009 I had a bad fall whilst training for the "Three peaks cyclocross challenge" resulting in a broken neck & spinal cord injury (C3/4&5) I then spent 6 months in Pinderfields spinal unit at Wakefield. The accident has left me with Tetraplegia, But hey I am a lucky one!

I rode A Recumbent trycycle in september from St bees ,Cumbria to Robin hoods bay, North yorkshire finishing on the second anniversary of the accident. Two years ago I was totaly paralysed from the neck down. Through sheer hard work from the Doctors,Physios and myself I am able to take this challenge on.

I have recently got hold of a recumbent trike this has enabled me to cycle again socialy. you dont have to ballance on three wheels!

Having done the "Coast to Coast" I am planning to ride the length of the country. I know I must be a glutton for punishment. "Lands End to John `o Groats". I will be doing this around april / may 2012 and hopefuly reaching the target in the process. will probably take a little over two weeks. Also I am dedicating this ride to Roger Belson,Director of Regain who sadly passed away on Boxing day 1949 - 2011

Not content with LEJOG and Coast to Coast. on the 17th of july I will be setting off again from CAEN to MONTE CARLO. It sounds a long way which it is but LEJOG is longer, and we should get the weather fingers crossed.

my aim is to raise £4000 for regain who helped fund my tricycle. Thanks for any donation it will all make a difference large or small.http://www.facebook.com/#!/events/325331220858508/
