Afasic - Unlocking Speech and Language Impairment
Fund raising for Afasic is a great way of saying a thank you for the wonderful work they do to help children and young adults with communication difficulties. It's a very worthwhile charity and makes huge difference to peoples' lives. Try and imagine a world where you couldn't communicate effectively or understand what was happening around you? This is normal for people with speech & language problems like dyspraxia and Asperger Syndrome.
This disability can have a significant impact on the quality of life of those affected. Without the right help and support these children and young people will struggle in education, employment and may find themselves on the margins of society when they could have very productive and meaningful lives with the right help.
