The Charity aims to alleviate the physical and mental distress of persons with cancer, of the partners and immediate family of persons with cancer and of persons recently bereaved through cancer. To be achieved through personal support, peer support, a range of complementary therapies, counselling, and an information service, etc.

Our personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I have set up this page to make it easier to raise money for Bury Cancer Support. They were a great help and support for my brother Jonathan during his fight with cancer and I know how much Jonathan valued the wonderful work they do. During his remarkable life he always gave so much to others and the center gave him a chance to continue to give to others even when he was ill. What can I say about my amazing brother? Well if you were ever lucky enough to meet him then I need say nothing. If not, the beautiful tribute below from Jonathans close friend Vicky may go some way towards describing the inspiring person that he was. "He loved life; he embraced it with energy and always with a smile on his face. His love of people ensured that you always felt at ease in his company. His thoughts and care always extended to others, even when he was ill. For me he will always be dancing with a smile on his face and whenever I open a particularly good bottle of wine I will raise my glass to him, and remember, you never know when he might be taking your picture, so smile." I am running to raise money for Bury Cancer Support Center on behalf of my brother so have set up this site to make it easier for people to donate. It is a great way to donate as Bury Cancer Support Centre will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
