Lakelands Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support services for people living with a life limiting illness. Our aim is to enhance quality of life for those in need and their loved ones in an environment that provides tranquillity, support and care.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page. As you all know I will be 40 this year! I have decided to continue the my foolish pursuit of running silly races (marathons)!

By October I will have completed 3 half marathons and the  Loch Ness marathon will be the final leg of my drunken promise to do at least 4 half marathons in my 40th year.

Lakelands Hospice is a local organisation to where I work. They do so much great and unsung work for very sick people in the Corby area. In the last 2 years I have seen 2 close family members lost to cancer and both have benefited from such care. Much of the effort and care is done by volunteers and small donations make a big difference.

Just before Xmas during a drunken conversation, i committed to raising at least £1000 pounds for a good cause this year!

Given that I am ambitious and competitive - let's make it more than that.

Give generously, and I might even buy a beer in December come my birthday!

Thanks for your support
