Jonathan Moore is raising money for Kendal Sea Cadet
Donations cannot currently be made to this page

2008 round britain challenge · 15 June 2008

Kendal Sea Cadet unit aims to provide a wide range of activities, both on and off water, to young people aged 10 to 18 years. The Unit is affiliated to the Marine Society and Sea Cadet national charity, but it is an independent Charity in its own right and relies heavily on its own fund raising capability to pay for Unit costs and cadet activities.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

My name is Jonny Moore and I am currently 16 years of age.

As you may be aware, I am setting off on 20th June 2008 to sail single-handed around the whole of mainland Great Britain in my Corribee mk2. To the best of my knowledge, I will be the youngest person ever to attempt this trip.

By setting myself this challenge, I hope to raise money for Kendal Sea Cadet Corps, as it was with the cadets that I first learned to sail. By donating money to the cadets, I hope that they will be able to continue introducing and supporting young people in the sport of sailing.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kendal Unit of the Sea Cadet Corps gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
