On the 20th September 2009 I shall be taking part in the Great North Run in Newcastle. I am running for two reasons - firstly, to fulfill a personal ambition, and secondly, on behalf of a great charity who help to raise awareness, and campaign for the best treatment and care to help patients with bowel cancer.
Now, I don't really want to get the sympathy vote here, but there is a reason that I chose Bowel Cancer UK as my charity. I lost my Grandma in March 2008 to bowel cancer and I now want to help raise awareness and hopefully hand over a large sum of money to help them educate others and help support people suffering from it.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bowel Cancer UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
