Story

Hi there,

Most of you who know me have probably never seen me do abit of exercise ever and most days you will find me sat behind the desk trying to perseude folks to buy some artwork, therefore it might come as abit of a shock to be asked to sponsor me to do 72km trek. But heres my reasons for needing your help.

When my little sister Natalie was born she had no fingers and deformaties of her left hand which made life quite difficult for her, during her younger years she underwent pioneering surgery to take two toes from her feet and graft them onto her hand as replacement fingers this has meant that she now has the ability to hold things in both hands and lead a normal life. Reach helped out with arranging this and by giving my parents advice and support.

My sister is in fact one of the luckier ones as most of the children that the chartity helps are often missing complete limbs or multiple limbs, due to my sister condition my mum became involved in the charity Reach and now runs it nation wide.

As with all charities they are in need of additional funds to keep helping children and their families who suffer from hand and arm disabilities.

In March 2009 there is to be a Trek of the Great Wall of China this will be a 72km trek along various terrains running mainly along the Great Wall to raise money for Reach.  The charity hadn't been able to fill all the places so I have decided to help out on short notice and try to raise the £2600 needed to help.

Therefore please help me with as much or as little as you can afford as it will all help a great cause and maybe get me abit fitter in the process.

Thanks

Jonny
