Hi,

Thanks for visiting my page. This coming July I shall be part of a team attempting the Three Peaks Challenge.  I am hoping to raise money for the TCT (Teenage Cancer Trust). 

The Challenge:

3rd & 4th July 2009: Ascend and descend the three highest mountain peaks in the British Isles within 24 hours. Our team of six (five climbers and one driver) will be attempting the climb in the following sequence: Ben Nevis, Scotland (4,409ft) - Scafell Pike, Cumbria (3,209ft) - Snowdon, Wales (3,560ft). The Ben Nevis ascent will start at 5pm on Friday 3rd July and the team need to have completed the Snowdon descent before 5pm on Saturday 4th July, which includes more than 500 miles of travel by road.  You will be able to monitor our progress in real time via our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=8209&uid=60340565669#/group.php?gid=60340565669

Teenage Cancer Trust:

I can't imagine what it would be like to be a teenager and discover I had cancer but everyday up to 6 teenagers or young adults do.  If you're under 16 you go into a paediatric ward with toddlers, if you're over 16 you go into an adult ward often with elderly patients. TCT’s top priority is building units in NHS hospitals specifically for teenagers with cancer and just trying to help them and their family get through it.

I hope it's something you or I never have to call on but if you can spare a few quid it is really going to make a difference.
