Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

Every week in the UK, around two families are told their child has neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. We fund leading research projects to deliver new, effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. With your help we can save more young lives.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

As you will now know I am running the London Marathon in 2009.

I am raising funds for The Neuroblastoma Society, a charity very close to my heart. On 1st May 2008, Emily Atkins, the daughter of my very good friends Lee and Joanne, and sister of George, died aged 8 from this rare childhood disease.

I have never been keen on road-running and having started the training, can remember why! Each time I go out training 26+ miles seems an awfully long way. Hopefully, come April it won't seem so daunting. At this stage I have to say I'm not convinced!

Please help me to raise as much as possible for this most worthwhile cause. With your help and the memory of Emily as an inspiration, the (almost) impossible is achievable!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Neuroblastoma Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now! Thank you so much for your help and support.
