27.4.09 The race is run now, and I have the medal to prove it! It was hot after the Highlands but the weather brought the people out in their thousands. The atmosphere was terrific, everyone shouting you on, bands playing, kids handing out jelly-babies. I was overtaken by three rhinos and a cardinal in the first mile, but did the same to Katie Price and Peter Andre at mile 21! It was a memorable day. Thanks to Karen, Ros, Roger and Brenda, who provided fine support all the the weekend and before. No training tomorrow.

The £1624 raised offline refers to £502 raised by myself and family via sponsor forms and a wonderful £1122 raised by the Skye and Lochalsh branch of Alzheimer Scotland, well done Kevin, Margaret and the Team!

Thank you to all the people who sponsored me, there will people to chase who used sponsor forms to donate rather than this page.

I am delighted that Alz. Scot. have included me in their team and want to raise as high a total of donations as I can manage. They are a fine organisation providing great services and you can be sure that your money will be well spent. There are so many people living in Highland who will benefit from your generosity.

My mother died as a result of Alzheimer's Disease in 2004 so the cause is close to my heart. Please give as little or as much as you feel able.
