Climb Mount Kilimanjaro · 18 June 2008

Our aim is to build stronger communities and enrich lives by giving grants that genuinely help to meet the needs faced by our local people. Since 1985, the Foundation has awarded over £6million to local voluntary and community groups in Berkshire. See www.berkshirecf.org for more details.

Story

Standing at 5,895 meters, Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest 'walkable' mountain in the world. My aim is to climb it in about 5 days, walking about 15 miles per day. The main problem I face is altitude sickness; 15% of climbers suffer symptoms so serious they never make it to the top. Hopefully, I won't be one of them!

As well as my ordeal (I mean challenge!), I also want to raise money for charity. By sponsoring me, your donation will go to Berkshire Community Foundation, a local charity which funds small, voluntary groups across the county.

So please sponsor me now!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Berkshire Community Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
