Words cannot begin to describe the extraordinary experience that my first ever marathon was BUT what I was not ready for was the enthusiastic support you all showed me! What a roller-coaster of emotions you all put me through! I was blessed with sooooo much love and kindness that words will never be enough to express what I feel. I don't know many people who have had the joy of being shown so much appreciation! May I simply say THANK YOU even if these words are only a pale response to your generous contributions! I thank each and everyone one of you who has contributed to the CF Trust, who has given so willingly and generously to the charity I chose and who has thus made a difference to the world we live in, and what a better world it is!!! Take excellent care of yourselves, xxx.

 

 

After months and months of intensive training I will be travelling to London for my first EVER marathon on 25^th April!!!! Never having been much of a runner I have decided to push myself to the limit but not for myself, but for a cause which is terribly close to my heart and well-worth any sacrifice ever; my aim is to raise as much money as possible for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

 

My great niece is my sunshine, and always will be!!!! I love her to bits but for the past 12 years, she has had to live with this terrible illness. Her smile, however, never leaves her face and she makes the most of every day, setting an example to us all.

This will definitely be a challenge for me and I NEED your support because I live in Strasbourg, France and will not be able to do the fund-raising myself in this country.

PLEASE help me raise funds for this wonderful cause and with your strong support and generous donations, I will reach that final line with a smile still on my face!

This is also a story of strong friendship as my best friend Della will be running with me all the way and has trained me so well and so patiently!
