Update (6th Sept): Triathlon completed in 1hr52mins. Feeling somewhat achey and felt awful during it, but would do it again!!! Thank you to everyone who have sponsored me!
I'm doing the Newbury Triathlon on 6th September. It's a 300m swim, 22km bike ride and 5k run. As training has not exactly gone to plan, I'd be surprised if I end up managing to run the whole of the 5k at the end but I'm going to give it a good shot! I was torn by which charity to support so decided, I'm just going to have to do some more events to raise money for the others too - watch this space!!
For now though, please consider donating money to Bibic (British Institute for Brain Injured Children), based in Bridgewater, Somerset. Bibic is a national charity offering practical help to families caring for children with conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, developmental delay, traumatic and acquired brain injury and specific learning difficulties such as attention deficits hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia and dyspraxia. Bibic exists to help these children reach their full potential and live a fulfilling and more rewarding life.
My family have personally benefitted from the work Bibic do so this is just a chance to help them continue helping other families like they helped ours.
