Story

Hello all,

Most of you know my love of and affiliation with eagles, so when I was offered the chance to spread my wings and do this triathlon to raise money for charity, I couldn't say no.

So please sign up and give as much or as little as you can to our two brilliant charities and I promise I won't let you down.

This is an unusual triathlon which takes advantage of all the difficulties that North Wales can throw at you...

1km swim in the freezing Irish Sea,

55km cycle across hilly Anglesey and into the Snowdonian Mountain Range,

and a 7km run up Mount Snowdon.

Please sponsor me for all you can... the money raised will go to two excellent causes which both help young people in very different, but most excellent ways:

Ty Gobaith Hope House (hopehouse.org.uk) is currently caring for more than 320 terminally ill children and their families in North Wales.

The Frank Haines Memorial Trust (frankhaines.com) provides a critical means of support, education and opportunity for young people in Tower Hamlets, who otherwise have precious few prospects in life.

The charities are both extremely deserving of all the help they can get, and all of your donations will be split equally between the two.

The event is kindly sponsored by Holyhead and Mawddach Rotary, whose help with setting up and preparation has been invaluable.

Please sponsor me... your generosity is MUCH appreciated
