I am raising funds for <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Norwood</span>, a wonderful charity that is dedicated to supporting adults and children with learning disabilities. Norwood intervenes where many charities cannot, to provide those it supports with residential accommodation, therapy, training, supported employment and access to work experience.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>My family</strong></span> have received enormous support from Norwood since 1994 to help us care for our daughter Stephanie who has cerebral palsy. Norwood has been a lifeline to us as a family and - as Stephanie has grown up - it has been the basis of her social life thanks to overnight respite breaks, Sunday and holiday clubs and a residential summer holiday. As Stephanie has turned 18 and entered adulthood we will now be leaning on all the other services and expertise that Norwood can provide.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>I am now training hard to complete a 380km cycle ride in four and a half days through the&nbsp;desert from Ashkelon to Eilat in late November. I have, to date, not done more than 90 km (London to Brighton) on a single day let alone covered that distance - and more! - on each of four consecutive days!
