Two of my friends died recently from Cancer.  They were both fit young men, and their loss shocked me deeply.  I would be really grateful for your help to raise £12,000 for Cancer Research UK, so we can support all those scientists looking for ways to stop others suffering.

During 2007, I'm going to trek right around the European Alps, 3,300 miles in length, and 160 vertical miles of climbing. I'll be starting around Easter 2007, walking the first 600 miles through snow, and I hope to finish by Christmas 2007. Most nights I'll sleep in my tent.

This is by far the longest I've ever walked. I've sold my house to fund the trip, and will be taking a year away from work. If successful, this will be the first time anyone has gone all the way round.
