5th Annual Outlook 10k Walk · 2 August 2007

Chai is the Jewish community’s cancer support organisation, providing services to cancer patients & their families. Based in NW London & across 11 satellite centres nationwide, internationally via telephone & skype counselling & in client’s homes. Chai is solely reliant on voluntary contributions.

Story

On 30th September 2007 Shira and I will be ditching our usual means of transport (the Vauxhall) and exchanging it - no, not for the Skoda, but for something rather more innovative - our FEET! Yes, that's right, we plan to join the annual 10k OUTLOOK walk in the beautiful Sarrat countryside, to raise funds for Chai Cancer Care.

This year's Outlook walk is in memory of Sandra Shelley, who passed away in November 2006. Like so many other people, she used every aspect of Chai on her difficult journey, and her family have continued using Chai to help them to come to terms with their loss.

Chai is a wonderful organisation, open to every single member of the Jewish community to make use of, regardless of religious affiliation. But it receives no government funding whatsoever so every penny we raise will be going towards supporting its vital services. So please don't be shy - sponsor us!
