Story
Dear Friends and Family,
We are climbing a big ol' mountain in the Andes. It's called Pequeno Alpamayo and has an elevation was 17,618'.
We are doing this to raise money for The Railway Children who help to protect street children across the globe, many of whom live in horrific conditions and have zero chance of a rags to millionaire fairytale heading their way.
It’s all too easy to take what we have for granted so we have decided to do remedy that by doing a not so easy climb! It will also give us time to reflect on how lucky we are to have all that we have and how lucky we are to have the freedom of choice…
…and we've chosen to climb a humungous mountain apparently!
Please, please dig deep and sponsor us as much as you can. Your support will get us to the top of that mountain and help street kids in the following ways:
• £5 could provide a child with 3 good meals a day for 12 days in India.
• £10 provides food, overnight clothing and toiletries for a runaway refuge in the UK.
• £25 will keep a child in formal education in India for 6 weeks.
• £50 could pay for a child to be reunited with their family.
Please note that this climb is totally self funded so 100% of the money you donate will go to The Railway Children.
Much love and respect,
George and Mitali xx
PS. The summit climb takes place on the 22nd of June.
