Here we are again, for the third time, taking part in the annual Paris to Hayling bike ride organised by A.C.E (The Association for Charitable Endeavours).

The ride this year is called Le Tour d'Argent to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the ride.

Historically there was a choice of joining the short ride of approximately 300 miles or the long ride of approximately 450 miles.

This year there is one ride for all departing on Monday 12th July.

We will take the overnight Ferry from Portsmouth to St. Malo where we will begin the ride. Overnight stops will include Rennes, Angers, Tours, Alencon and finally Caen where we will celebrate with a party in the Castle.

400 miles over 5 days.

It's tough even when the weather is favourable, but the organisation is second to none and the group we ride with are encouraging and supportive. And YES - it is fun !!!!!

We have chosen to ride for the Rowans this year as it is our local hospice.

Mike has been a GP working in this area for 20 years and Julia, a practice nurse for 15 years, during which time we have worked closely with the Rowans.
