Established in 1992 the CCAA is a national charity which provides a support network for children with arthritis and their families. The CCAA's family weekend brings together medical professionals and families from all over the UK to share information and advice through workshops, talks and fun activities.

My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Well, here I am, ready ( I hope!) to participate in this Cycle Challenge - London to Paris - with my friends. Thanks to Sally for the inspiration to do this. The training period is now over and we will soon be starting our Cycle Challenge. Training started November 2008 - setting off at 8 am on wintry mornings to tackle trips of about 25 miles....the early start to training has helped and I am sure will hold us in good stead. All 8 Team Members are cycling to raise funds for different charities. I am cycling for the Children's Chronic Arthritis Association (CCAA). Arthritis is not just a disease of old people. Unfortunately about one in a thousand children suffer from Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). Please do sponsor me! Your support will be appreciated both myself and those children and families whose lives are affected by arthritis. With very best wishes, Julia x
