Story
Thanks for visiting my Race for Life page.
My cousin Amanda was diagnosed with leukaemia on her 3rd birthday. She survived and became a success story, attending a kids' cancer camp most summers and giving the children hope that they, too, would survive cancer. Then, at the age of 28, cancer reared it's ugly head again when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After fighting for her life for more than 2 years, she finally lost her battle with cancer. She was 31 years old and left behind three beautiful children aged 8, 6 and 4 years old. There are no words to describe this tragic loss of young life and the devastation felt by her long-term partner, children, family and friends.
