Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am looking to raise money for MS Society Scotland by taking part in the Highland Swing with Highland Fling Bungee where I will be dropped from The Garry Bridge in Killicrankie over the River Garry (more info here https://www.bungeejumpscotland.co.uk/garry-bridge-swing/) on the 25th of March. I will then also be doing a Tandem Skydive with Skydive St Andrews on the 23rd of April. **Both of these events have been paid for in full by me and so all money donated will go to the charity**

I have done other fundraising activities for MS Society in the past due to my Mum having MS, however on 22nd June 2017 (a date that is now etched in my mind) I was also diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS) which wasn't exactly joyous news but it did give me an explanation for symptoms I had been experiencing for over a year.

I then found out that my MS was very active and so was likely to progress quickly without intervention and so my consultant recommended Lemtrada as a treatment for me. Lemtrada is pretty much the strongest treatment you can get at the moment (it kills off part of your immune system and is basically a chemo style drug), not normally used as a first line treatment but he felt it would be beneficial for me. I had my first round of Lemtrada 16th-20th October 2017 and had a period of time off work afterwards.

I am due round 2 of Lemtrada this October so i thought before my immune system gets killed off again I'll jump out of a plane for charity and the Highland swing was a recent edition to this plan so i thought i would add it into the fundraising page too. A bit different/higher risk than my normal 5k effort so hopefully I will raise a good amount.

Thank you everyone who sponsors me, MS sucks but hopefully one day a cure will be found xx
