Hello and welcome to yet another edition in the mental and physical break down of Julian May

I have decided that it is time again for me to put myself through some stupidly long event all in the name of charity.

The event that I have chosen is called the lakeland 100 and if you had not guessed it by the name of the event it is a 100 mile run through the lake district. Oh and with 23,000.00 feet in elevation and just under two days to get my body and head around it. We will start at 7.30pm on Friday the 31 of July and hopefully be back before the cut off time of 11.30am the following Sunday 2nd Aug

Take a look at what I will be doing by following this link

http://www.lakeland100.com/

and this to see the race stats with regard to mileage and elevation

http://www.lakeland100.com/downloads/lakeland100routestats.pdf  Ouch......

I will be more than willing to show you my shredded feet after the event to all who sponsor me.

I will be running the event for the childrens Fire and Burns Trust which is a company that I hold dear to my heart after meeting with them whilst I served as a Fire Fighter with Berkshire Fire and Rescue.

I have met with the team who run the charity and they are the most dedicated people I have had the pleasure to meet with.

I feel that this is such a just and worthy cause that I am prepared to suffer pain and blisters just to raise a few pounds.

If all who view this page just sponsor a couple of pounds to help change some poor childs life then all what I will put myself through will be worth it.

Please follow this link to see their website http://www.childrensfireandburntrust.org.uk/news/

Thank you so much for taking the time to read through my page. I hope that I have inspired you to donate just a little, if for no other reason than just to imagine me trudging up some god foresaken hill in the lakes in the pitch black of night whilst you are tucked up in bed.

Many thanks

Julian May
