My story
Thank you for visiting my Squash Challenge fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
I am trying to raise as much money as possible for The Royal Marsden Cancer Trust Campaign in loving memory of my mother who died 40 years ago of Cancer and my younger brother Jonathan who sadly passed away earlier this year in February.
I've also been a patient at hospital for a number of years (but I am one of the lucky ones!). I want to thank The Marsden for the marvellous, wonderful job they do each year helping to save the lives of thousands of people.
In February this year I played in the Belfast and Dublin Masters Championships. I was lucky enough to win both tournaments and as a result was selected to play for Ireland (my mother's homeland) against England, Scotland and Wales in The Home Internationals in April.
I want to continue to raise as much money as possible for the The Marsden so I've decided to travel to New Zealand in October to play in the World Masters Individual Championships.
I would like to take this opportunity to say a really big thank you to everyone who's sponsored me to date for their kindness and generosity and to thank all the people who'd like to make a donation. Your support means a lot to me and to The Royal Marsden Cancer Trust Campaign.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Guy Gibson and Paul Moran and all the team at Aviate Global www.aviateglobal.com for their kind and generous support as well as Dave and Katie Thompson as without their help my trip to New Zealand wouldn't be possible.
I would like to say a very special thank you to Head Sports for their support by providing me with squash clothing and equipment. www.head.com and to Bluecoats Sports Health & Fitness Club, Christ's Hospital where I train www.bluecoatsports.co.uk
Thank you also to my friend Jesse Engelbrecht (Squash Professional World-ranked no.55) for his services at a recent squash playing fundraising event and to my friend Greg Pearman and the RAC Pall Mall for kindly donating the use of their club facilities.
I would also to thank my company Kalligraphic Design www.kalligraphic.com and to Keith and the team for all of their support.
Finally I would like to thank all of my family for their on-going support and encouragement.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thank you once again to you all.
Best wishes and kind regards
Julian
