Hello!
From the 2nd of July to the 20th, a group of us will be travelling to South Africa where we will be visiting and camping in: the Umfolozi Game Reserve, the oldest game reserve in Africa, home to the big five (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhinoceros); the uKhalamba (Drakensberg park), deep in the Drakensberg mountains at an average altitude of 3000m; finally, Mabandla village.
At Mabandla, we will be staying with families in pairs, living and working alongside them. We will also be building from scratch functional taps and water supplies which will provide the local families with easily accessible (clean) water.
This trip has been organised by the Wilderness Foundation, a registered charity "dedicated to preserving the last of the world's wild places", and we are very grateful for it.
We would be equally grateful if you could help us reach our £500 target before the 2nd of July, all of which goes to the Wilderness Foundation's Guide Training Programme. This programme not only provides excellent jobs for South Africans from disadvantaged backgrounds, but also changes their lives and the lives of those they will go on to teach and lead profoundly.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Wilderness Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
(A big thankyou to everyone who's donated so far)
