I am running the Great North Run to raise funds in memory of my wife Moira who passing away in 2006 after a brave battle against breast cancer.When Moira went into Hospice my family and I did not think she would  be well enough to get home again,but after a four week stay she did,and enjoyed 3 months of relative normality at home before losing her fight for life.My family and I will always be grateful for that extra quality time that her stay in the hospice provided.

Moira had a lot of friends(you could not meet Moira and not become a friend)and I hope to complete the great North Run for us all because Moira was not only my wife but she was also my best friend.
