2009 Flora London Marathon · 26 April 2009 ·

Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I completed the London Marathon in 4 hours 21 minutes, missing my target by quite a margin.

Training went well for my target time of 3 hrs 59 minutes with a Milton Keynes Half Marathon time of 1 hr 46 mins, and a 21 miles run in 3 hr 08 mins.  But legs wouldn't do as they were told during the second half of the marathon and my pace dipped.

Still I did manage to get a new PB by 1 min 11 seconds.  There is still  time to donate, just click on the link.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me for my London Marathon '09 attempt.

Thanks, Jules
