Trekking up Kilimanjaro for the children of Tanzania

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page and your interest in helping some of Africa's most deserving children. My son, Paul, and I will start our trek on 29th of March and hope to be on the summit on the 2nd of April - my 60th birthday. 

Update :  We made it to the top as planned, but it was the single most difficult physical challenge either of us has faced. What is always a difficult ascent was made doubly so by deep snow above 5,000 metres, strong winds and very severe cold. Also, due to the heavy seasonal rains flooding many of the secondary roads, we were unable to make the lengthy overland journey to Mvumi Secondary School as originally planned. I intend to rectify this as soon as possible however.

We are still fundraising, and just to remind you, the school is a centre of educational excellence in one of the poorest regions of the world. So please help as much as you can. We are asking everyone who reads this to donate at least twenty pounds, and for those of you who haven't been to Tanzania, I can assure you that even a small donation will go a very long way towards helping the school.
