UPDATE
WooHoo - I finished!!
It was a struggle but I got round despite heat and problems resulting from my accident in December. In absolute agony at the end but crossed the FINISH line exactly 7 hours after crossing the START line (I even beat a celebrity!!)
As you may (or may not know) I was diagnosed with cancer of the lymphatic system, Non-Hogkins Lymphoma (follicular lymphoma) in the summer of 2007 and underwent six sessions of chemotherapy. In November 2007 it was thankfully confirmed that I was in complete remission (cure is only available with a transplant).
Along with information from my hospital (Kings College Hospital, London) I found the Lymphoma Association excellent. Doing an internet search brought up many lymphoma websites based in the US. Whilst the information about the disease was the same the 'whole package' wasn't - treatments were confusing because the drugs were sometimes called other names and I could not relate it to the UK.
I eventually found the Lymphoma Association who provided the information that I was after.
I have done two London Marathons before (they took hours and hours) but I always said that I wanted to do just one more.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Lymphoma Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
