Dear all!
Team Huxtable has completed the European Challenge!
We set out from Sixpenny Handley (Salisbury) at exactly midnight on March 25th and we arrived back in Sixpenny Handley at 9.30 pm on March 27th having driven around France, Belgium, Germany,Holland and back through Belgium and France covering over 1200 miles and photographing the town clocks in every place we visited.
We laughed and we cried and we drove and we drove but we never lost sight of why we were doing this. We dashed around the cities and we took photos and then dashed off again. We had our Team Huxtable tee shirts on and we caused a stir as we hurtled along in our little old micra which had been 'pimped' by James Day and his team. The new alloys seemd to make the car think it was a TT racer and at one point I thought we would take off!
We shall be posting our story and our photos on a blogg and we are hoping we get a bit more money yet so if you haven't donated and wish to do so then there is still time!
We funded everything on the trip ourselves and we have made sure the Salisbury Hospice has every penny of the sponsorship we have raised. We were given so much help with the car that I will post a special thank you in our story pages.
Colin we will love you forever and we did this for you!
