Adidas Women's 5k challenge 2008 · 7 September 2008 ·

Proudly serving the community of East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire since 1987, we provide specialist palliative & end-of-life care to people facing a terminal illness. We're committed to giving families choices about the care they receive, providing the best support at home & at the Hospice.

Story

We did it!  We ran the whole way (big achievement) and completed the race in 40 minutes.  Thank you to everyone who has supported us both financially and with encouragement.

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. As you all know, we are not natural athletes.  In fact, we hate running.  However this cause is very close to our hearts as Thames Hospice cared for Dad during the last weeks of his life.  The staff at Windsor were absolutely brilliant in all they did to support Dad and us as a family.  So in an attempt to give something back and to help them continue to support other families in the same situation, we are running this 5K in Hyde Park.  Dad would think we are absolutely bonkers - I wonder where we get it from!

So please sponsor us now!  If you need a good belly laugh, come along on the 7 September and cheer us on.  We will be the ones in the canary yellow T-shirts.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Thames Hospicecare gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
