Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

We are taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on 20th June in aid of the charity Christians Against Poverty, walking with our daughter Kirsty and her husband Phil.  Kirsty has been working at CAP for nearly a year, and we have been very impressed with all we have heard about the work.  Each year CAP helps hundreds of vulnerable individuals and families, who for all sorts of reasons have got in a mess with money.  They provide practical debt counselling, on-going support and encouragement to enable people to work towards a debt-free future.  Through their care for clients as individuals, the work can include providing a family with food to put on the table or giving them the opportunity to go away on holiday for the first time in years.

The sponsored walk is 26 miles long over rough terrain and takes in the three peaks of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.  We know that achieving the whole course will be a real challenge.  See the route at http://www.walkingenglishman.com/dales1.htm.  The money donated through this website will go directly to
CAP whether or not we complete the walk.  We hope you'll be happy to sponsor us, and we'll do our very best to finish!!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Christians Against Poverty gets your money faster and, if you’re a
taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

To all of you who sign up to sponsor us, thank you very much !
