I am doing this for "Papa" my Dad, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and struck down from being a 58 year old healthy fun loving man, with only 3 months warning in February 2006.  We should have been celebrating his 60th birthday 14th February 2008.

Thanks to the Macmillan nurses, we were given the support and confidence to care for him at home. This was his wish and so we were able to make him feel secure. When the time came he was in the arms of his loved ones and I know he was not scared and this is what counts. 

If taking on this personal challenge contributes to others having access to the support given to us and Papa then this cycle is just such a small thing for me to do. I am just an ordinary mother of three, but I have realised I could find the courage to overcome fear to care for our loved ones.

I am facing a huge personal challenge,  but Papa is always in my mind, and out of our loss must come the chance to help others, please donate what you can, and share your words of encouragement or experience.
