Story
Hey folks,
We have our hiking boots at the ready and are about to take on the Great Wall of China (10th - 18th October 2009), in aid of Action Cancer (www.actioncancer.org) ! Our aim is to raise a minimum of £6000. We will be trekking in steep terrain for five days, for up to seven hours a day and so regular training prior to the event is essential.
We personally feel this will be a great experience, challenge and most importantly a very worthwhile cause to be raising for. That is why any contribution is very important and will be greatly appreciated.
> We raised £1300 at our Pub Quiz on Friday 24th April 2009 in the Skerry Inn, Glenravel.
> Our next fundraising event was a Tea Party in The Prochial Hall and Fancy Dress Disco in The Glensway, Martinstown on Saturday 13th June 2009. We raised £1090.
> Some of you may have seen us bag packing in M&S Ballymena on Saturday 18th July 2009. It was a long day but lots of fun and we raised £1441.55!!! :-) We were also bag packing in Tesco, Antrim on Friday 7th August and we raised £603.08 :-D
> We organised a "Charity Spin Cycle" on 2nd September 2009 in Fitness First, Ballymena where we raised £115. Ninety minutes non-stop! !
