London Lesbian & Gay Switchboard provides an information, support and referral service for lesbians, gay men, bisexual people and anyone who needs to consider issues around their sexuality. 160 trained telephone volunteers provide support to around 30,000 callers each year, with many more attempting to call us.

My story

Hello everyone.

Aghhh I've just registered for my first 10k race! Which is twice as far as my last one. There's no going back now I'll be huffing and puffing my way around the track on the 15th of August.

I just want to tell you why I chose to do this particular run for this charity. I was reading an article recently about gay charities and how hard they find it to drum up support even from within the LGBT community. Reading this I felt a little shamed to think that although I've done stuff before for cancer charities, animal charites and childrens charites I've never really done anything to support a gay charity. So here I go!
