Well I did it!
4hrs 31mins - Very pleased and think I could have been a bit quicker.
The whole event was amazing, the amount of people taking part, the support from the public at every point along the route - incredilble!
It was a warm day but I felt good and at the half way point I thought I could have finished in 4hrs 20mins, but somehow that slipped away. I don't think I took in much of the sights but seeing (and running over) Tower Bridge was the first big milestone in my memory and then the final few miles along the embankment was amazing. The crowds really spur you on and when you get a glimpse of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament you know you're almost there.
I felt pretty good all the way round but the moment I stopped running - I could have cried - it hurt! But after an hour and few chocolate bars, all was well.
At the end, I thought never again! But now... well maybe.
I'd like to thank everyone who supported me, I did this because of YOU. You have helped make a difference - without your support I wouldn't have gone out in all kinds of weather, so thank you!
I've not quite finished, I still need to raise a little more and my plan is a stall at my daughters school fete in June. I'm going to sell all sorts, cakes, bikes (Libby's) - so any ideas to help raise the extra pounds please let me know.
