The International Rescue Corps is an independent UN registered disaster rescue service. Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I attempted to swim the channel on sunday 2nd August and started out at 0745hrs and the weather was glorious! However after 13miles and 5 hours the weather had changed - the wind started to blow and the waves got a bit higher! I was being blown off course and the attempt had to be abandoned!

Sorry not to have completed but I gave it my best shot! Thank you for all your support and messages of encouragement.

I have already raised over £2000.

Next year I am going to swim the channel again but this time in a relay with 4 of us! So watch this space!! I am also swimming the length of Lake Windermere in September - I will not be defeated!!

Keep an eye on my progress using my blog:- http://www.julieryancrosschannelswim.blogspot.com

THANK YOU!!!!
