Ayrshire Hospice
The Ayrshire Hospice provides specialist palliative care to the community of Ayrshire. This care is provided by a multi-disciplinary team led by a Medical Director and includes In-Patient Care (20 beds), Day Care (16 places per day) and Specialist Palliative Homecare Nursing Team. Our services are provided at no cost to patients or families, but as a charity, we are heavily dependant upon voluntary donations to meet expenses.We currently require to raise, from voluntary sources, £3.2m per year.

Every hospice is self funded. Many of you know that I lost my mum to cancer last year. She spent her final week in the Ayrshire Hospice. Their dedication and professionalism was superb and made her final days the best they could. The staff never complained and nothing was a hassle with respectful smiles always present. Last year we raised £18k we want to better this and I am going to trek the Great Wall of China over 6 days on a fund raising event to celebrate 25 years of fund raising of the Ayrshire Hospice.
