I've volunteered to walk 50km (31 miles) over 2 days in Lourdes to raise money to take children on a well deserved pilgrimage holiday.  The walk will take place on the 21st and 22nd March, just before the children arrive in Lourdes, where the walk finishes.

I have been a volunteer helper looking after the children since 2000.  As a helper you are required to pay your own  fares (around £550) and to raise money as a part of your group to fund the children's holiday (accomodation and food, plus outings).  The group with which i travel usually takes 10 children or young people from the Merseyside area and around 15 adults.
